It sucks when someone says something like 'you're too fat, its so unhealthy for you, you need to loose some weight'. A lot of the time, they think that they are being 'caring'. Well its not caring, its hurtful. Don't let them get away with it - its rude and you should tell them so. There is an issue there, though, that we should be thinking about, regardless of our size. Are we healthy or unhealthy? |
THE HABITS OF THE POTENTIALLY HEALTHY Again, some of these habits may sound a bit strange but keep in mind that the human body has a heart and mind that needs as much attention. Without that attention things get unhappy and consequently unhealthy: • Eating properly, balancing your nutrients • Taking the time to appreciate and really taste your food • Educating yourself on food....learn about nutrient dense food & additives • Relaxing deliberately and regularly, there are ways even for the busiest • Treating your body like the precious temple it is • Taking time out for yourself, 5 minutes a day can save your sanity • Brisk exercise for 20 minutes 3 times a week • Reinforcing your own thought patterns with positive affirmations • Choosing positive 'growing' friends • Doing an unselfish 'good turn' for someone who needs it once a week • Having real uncomplicated goals, day by day if necessary HABITS OF THE POTENTIALLY UNHEALTHY Some of these habits may sound a bit strange but its amazing the ruts they create and the damage they can do. Think carefully....is this what you do? • Inactivity or lack of exercise • Living off junk food or not eating properly • Eating on the run • Regular overindulgence or binging • Bolting food • Not relaxing deliberately and regularly • Not breathing properly or breathing shallow • Being careless with your body • Not taking time out for yourself regularly • Dwelling on what other people have said or their gossip • Thinking negatively too much of the time • Stagnant lifestyles |
